A Novel Idea

Tonight should be the long-awaited announcement of Obama's running-mate choice (will the name begin with a P or a K?). Obama says he wants a Vice-President who can step in and be President if needed, and who can counter any preconceived notions he (Obama) may bring to the job, thus offering "robust" debate on issues within the White House -- geee, there's a peculiar idea, debate within the White House. After 8 years of a stooge for President, surrounded by 'yes' men, and routinely duped/manipulated by neo-con, corporate hacks, can the country stand discussion of issues at such a high level?
